Triple Tree Fly-in Ladies' Day

The Triple Tree Fly-in Ladies' Day, Down on the Farm(s) was a huge success. We almost filled the 15-passenger van (supplied by Michelin) with gals from SC, NC, GA, and FL plus a visitor from Brazil. It was a very congenial group and we had a great adventure. Our driver, Eldon Anderson, even joined in the fun.

Starwood Creek Farms
Lynn Holcombe of Starwood Creek Farm and a six-year-old student of hers amazed us with their group cooperation challenges and their horsemanship. Two of our group received brief instruction on handling horses.

Then it was time for lunch, and what a lunch it was!

Suni McMath of The Broken Tea Pot Tea Parlour in Woodruff pulled out all the stops with plates fit for (non-dieting) queens (and King Eldon).

Then we stopped briefly at
Live Oak Farms to visit their store and animals.

Produce

This week we have organic cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, eggplant, green, red and yellow bell peppers, poblano peppers, tomatoes, basil, arugula and mizuna

About Our Farm

Live Oak Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown family owned and operated 80 acre farm that specializes in heritage breeds.  We are committed to raising a quality product for our community and our own families.

Lastly, we toured the 1765 farmhouse and grounds at Walnut Grove Plantation near Spartanburg.

It was a delightfully full day, and as they say, "A good time was had by all."
