Spartan Executive 7W Serial # 13 (S13)

S13 rolled off the assembly line on 11/14/1937 with a tail number of NC17614 and was registered to the Standard Oil Co in early 1938. Most records list the Model Year as 1938 for this plane. On April 13, 1942 she was impressed by the USAAF Defense Supply Corp and was used as a Military Transport Plane. While being used by the military, like everything else the she was given a USAAF serial number. The serial number was 42-238369 and was designated to be a UC-71.

This is S13 during her stay in the military.

 She was returned to civilian service in 1944, when she was then purchased by George Arents Jr (also called G Arents III). Seen here in a photo taken between 1945 and 1950 with Mr. Arents her owner at that time.  

Then the title was transferred to Arent AS.
